Allows the player to hire mercenary companions to aid them. They can be hired from Eulogy Jones in Paradise Falls, or from Reilly of Reilly's Rangers once you've completed the Rangers quest. The cost per mercenary is 500 caps from Eulogy and 300 caps from Reilly, plus 120 caps per day.
You will be notified when it is time to pay your mercenaries and whether you had the caps to pay them. If you fail to pay your mercenaries due to lack of caps, they will go "on strike" and return to their headquarters. If you do not pay them for three days in a row, they might show up again... but they won't be happy.
When you hire a merc, they'll have random gear and appearance chosen from a pool. It's easy to add your own mercenaries to the pool - just use one of the existing ones as a template and add them to the levelled character list 'aaaMercenary'.
Mercenaries can be ordered to follow or wait (while waiting they will sandbox at the location, so they'll eat/sleep/etc), and you can choose to outfit them with new gear. They aren't much for conversation, though.
You won't be able to hire more than 3 mercenaries at a time, to keep things balanced. Even with that restriction, if you use this mod, I recommend using Mart's Mutant Mod - Increased Spawns as well.
