一些翻译问题请教高手

“A painted face, hands with no bones.  My oldest brother was made of stones.  ”
答案是“A clock.”
问题就来了，原题意思是“ Every clock has boneless hands”
“hand”在英语中既有手又有指针的意思，这里是双关语，那么怎么才能完美翻译？
难道。。参考翻译：“大花脸，无骨手， 我的老大哥是石头做的。我是什么？”“每个钟表都有没骨头

的指针（指针在英文中即手之意）。。。”

“Hmmm.  Not one to take chances, eh?  Well, let's just say that if you be a smart laddie,

you get to keep testin' those brains...I'll say no more, out of respect to the old ways....

”一个半身人在你回答“What do you mean, 'the game continues'?”说了这么一通，但是完全不明白

他想说什么。。这是参考翻译：“嗯。。不是个投机的人，哼？那我们就当你是个聪明的小伙子，你总是

让头脑转起来。。。我不多说了，老这样就不太尊重了。。。”

“Good sport!”的语气翻译都有哪些？
4。“For someone as bright as yourself, you're acting a mite dull. ”
“I'm a little leery of this affair.  ”
“Yet, no matter!  No harm done!  Go on your way, and you'll be none the poorer! ”

这个太困难了，face可以说是脸，但是这儿理解的是前面板的意思。Hand也是多义，很难翻译。

"Hmmm. Not one to take chances, eh? Well, let's just say that if you be a smart laddie, you get to keep testin' those brains...I'll say no more, out of respect to the old ways...."

个人觉得这句话的意思应该是：

“hmm，看起来你不是一个冒险的人？好吧，那我就告诉你，如果你是一个聪明的小伙子，就该去挑战一下自己的智力...我不能多说了，出于对“传统”的尊重...”
这儿old way指的是the way that the old game is played。Take the chance意思是冒险。这儿上下文的环境是，你问了很多问题，显得很谨慎。侏儒在给你解释How the game should continue，但是又不想告诉你细节。

"I'm a little leery of this affair."
“我觉得这件事有点诡异。”

“不过没关系，不碍事，继续忙你的吧，对你没有什么损失的。”
none the poorer，呵呵，这个字面意思就是“你不会变成更穷的人”，想想是什么意思吧。

1.整个谜语都是拟人的语气，所以可以翻成“手”，但“无骨手”还是有点难理解，需要高人指点
2.take changes也有“碰运气”的意思，这里是猜谜，我想这个翻译更靠近一点。
